According to the Law on the Environment, strategic environmental impact assessments (SEA) are required for all planning documents (strategies, plans, and programs) related to energy, industry, mining, transportation, and regional development, telecommunications, waste management, water management, tourism, spatial and urban planning and land use, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, which create a basis for carrying out projects for which an environmental impact assessment is carried out or for all planning documents governing the management of protected areas.
